Not compression socks. I like dots, so I wear them over a pair of compression socks. They came up as compression socks in my search, but they are just knee highs. Others mentioned they are pretty tight at the top, uncomfortably so, which is true, unless you wear them over a sock already compressing everything then you don't notice the tightness just on top.
